The First One
A gentle, delicate mushroom painting.
Born between the tensions of holding on and letting go.
Inspired by the magic, reslience and divine connection that Mushrooms hold, this piece was created at a time where I could no longer hold onto everything I had created. Not because I didn’t love it all and care tremendously, but because it was no longer serving me. Nourishing me.
No longer connecting to my journey ahead, to my soul, or to a future I wanted to see, feel and experience.
And although it was the hardest choice I’ve ever consciously made, I am infintiely grateful for the trust I found in myself and the Universe in letting go.
Through this choice, I was thrown into the abyss knowing what I was looking for, but no idea how, or why it was happening. Until I landed exactly where I needed to be. Just like spores, when they let go of the mushroom they belong to and float in the emptiness of space and land where they are needed most to continue the evolution of their species.
I can only explain this experience as Divine Guidance & this is what happens when you trust in the One that created you to guide you.
To trust, that what is meant for you will find you.
Since letting go, I’ve connected deeply with the underlying fabric of reality.
Experiencing things I didn’t even know was possible or real.
It is these ‘winks’ from the Universe that I have become attuned to through Art and Nature Contemplation and it is this work I teach as a practise during workshops and one-to-one sessions in bringing our humanity closer to spiritual connection.
